Goslings hatching now!

Four have successfully hatched from their shells.
Isis and Zulu have been sitting on eggs for over a month under the dryer vent by the house. The goslings started to peck out of their shells started hatching right after the Full moon on the 27th. Of course the cats were EXTREMELY interested. Our feed store suggested that the goslings would have a better chance of survival if we raised them protected because of the various predators in the area ( racoons, opossums, cats, snakes, etc.) so we have them under a brood light. Our dog has been acting as Midwife.. truly. He lets us know when they are coming out of their shells. Nature is amazing. Photos will be posted soon.
